Because there are many, many secret places not seen by visitors
in our little country and we wanted to show you the beauty of those unknown parts. These typically idyllic scenes of the English Countryside can be viewed and sent as free e-cards with traditional English music (and a few non English tunes) attached.

Hidden in some pages on the site are links to pictures of us collecting ingredients from the countryside, cooking or just enjoying the scenery in some of the places where we went to take pictures for your e-cards.

Our ambition is to extend this site to include lesser known English legends and historical extracts, little known quotations and other unusual things.

We would like YOUR contributions too - no matter what your nationality - and, if accepted, we will upload them and attribute them to you.

This site wants to be a site about the nice but little known places and facts and food of England as well as few of the more well known bits too. Think of beautiful countryside, English traditions, delicious cooking, old legends passed from one generation to another, family life and historical facts - and you will have our site, Hidden England.
